About Our Practice
Welcome to Monson Optical! Nissa Lempart purchased this shop from Brenda Tibbetts in March 2017. Formerly the practice was named “Tibbetts Optical” and the name changed to “Monson Optical” with the new owner. Prior to Brenda’s ownership, the practice was called “Jilson Optical.” This location has been an optical practice for a very long time! Nissa tries to make the shop feel welcoming, and is proud of the diverse selection of frames to meet people’s individual style and financial needs. Whether you’re looking for a custom pair of drill mount eyeglasses or a back up pair of reading glasses – we will find you the perfect pair. Call or come in today to browse our selection and find the perfect pair of glasses or sunglasses for you.
Nissa has been working in the optical field since 1991, when she got her first job in a little shop a lot like this one. Her first position in the field was to cut lenses and fabricate glasses. First licensed in the state of Massachusetts in 2000, her career has included most aspects of manufacturing, repairs, adjustments and customer service. Her favorite thing is to help people find a new style that they love! Nissa is a proud to be a Registered Dispensing Opticians (RDO), and a American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO–NCLE). Nissa was born and raised in Northern California and moved to MA in 1999 when she met her husband John, who currently teaches at The May Center School. They have one son.
